Accessible Apartment Suite

This accessible living space was designed as part of a larger project that was completed as a team with two other students. The accessible unit was one of three apartment suites on the penthouse floor in a New York building.

The goal for this project was to create a space that flowed seamlessly and would be easy to use for a wheelchair user. Designing the suite was a challenge in that it was a tight space that had to meet all the requirements for an accessible living space; this meant that all areas of the living space needed to be accessible and useable by the wheelchair user.
